Today, we’re bringing in a little bit of both Speech and Occupational insight through our two Apps of the Week!

App of the Week - Social Detective Training Institute in Surprise AZ

Social Detective: A great app to help your child become a better social thinker. It is an app that uses videos showing everyday social situations. It teaches children to use their ears, eyes, and learned information to make appropriate social guesses. The child is allowed to create their own avatar and earn different social detective tools while learning social language skills. The app will track progress during play. – Michelle SLP

App of the Week - My First Tangrams Training Institute in Surprise AZ

My First Tangrams: An app that promotes visual perceptual skills and problem solving. The app can be enjoyed by a wide age range of children. Children aged 2-5 can easily do the outline puzzles and practice shape recognition in a fun way. Older students aged 5-10 can use this app to practice geometry skills from shape recognition to parts of a whole as they combine shapes to create new ones. – Melissa COTA
