Interview with Alondra

Tell us about yourself

Hi, I’m Alondra. By day, I’m a BAC helping kids learn new skills and navigate their world. By night, I’m studying to become a BCBA and wondering how there are still so many task list terms to remember! I run on 70% water, 30% iced coffee, reinforcement, and the hope that my clients will accept my highly preferred activities. I love helping others, learning new things, and celebrating the small wins—whether that’s a client mastering a new skill or me finally remembering where I left my keys. As a foodie, my side hobby is finding authentic restaurants from different cultures.

Why did you become a Registered Behavior Technician?

I became an RBT because I love working with children, and I believe that the future of our community depends on the investment that we make in our children today. I want to help them develop all the skills they need to thrive and shape a better tomorrow.

Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for being Adaptive and Innovative?

I think my coworkers nominated me because I try to stay flexible and positive when challenges come up. In ABA, every client is different, and situations can change quickly, so I work hard to adapt my approach to meet each client’s needs while still maintaining quality care.

What do you love most about working with TEAM 4 Kids?

What I love about working with TEAM 4 Kids is all the opportunities that we are given to grow not only professionally, but personally as well. It’s a place where I feel like I’m constantly learning, growing, and making a positive impact.

If you could have one wish come true, what would it be?

My wish is to continue growing into the best version of myself while helping others do the same. I hope to make a positive impact wherever I go, inspire those around me, and never stop learning. Success is important, but more than anything, my biggest wish is to make a positive impact on the people I meet and the communities I’m a part of, leaving them a little brighter.
