Interview with Alyssa
Tell us about yourself
My name is Alyssa Silva and I have been with T.E.A.M. 4 Kids since June of 2022. I am from the ‘Land of Enchantment’ (New Mexico), so the desert is my home. I LOVE spending time with my friends and family, trying out new restaurants, and finding new thrift shops. I have a cat named Bunny who is my bestie.
Why did you become a Speech-Language Pathologist?
I worked at an in-patient rehabilitation center in high school and I knew then that I wanted to pursue something in the medical field. While doing my undergraduate studies, my younger sister experienced a TBI. Watching her progress with both communication and feeding following the TBI showed me exactly what path I wanted to go down.
Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for being generous?
I think that my coworkers nominated me for this because of how I offer to help out my team when they need time, I lend a listening ear as much as I can, and I love to share lil treats (hehe).
What do you love most about working with TEAM 4 Kids?
I love my kids! They’re a light in my life. I love my coworkers, too. I feel lucky to be here amongst this great group of people.
If you could have one wish come true, what would it be?
My wish would be for unlimited traveling!
