Interview with Dana

Tell us about yourself

My name is Dana and I am originally from Washington state. I moved to Arizona a little over 6 years ago to work here at TEAM 4 Kids and have fallen in love! I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, traveling to new places, and binge-watching TV shows.

Why did you become a speech-language pathologist?

I became an SLP because my mom had me job shadow an SLP while I was in high school and I fell in love with the career! Thanks, mom!

Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for being adventurous?

I think my co-workers nominated me because I am always up for trying something new or going on an adventure. I also have lots of fun stories from when I was younger, find me and ask!

What do you love most about working with TEAM 4 Kids?

I absolutely love all of the kids and families that we work with. It is so fulfilling to build rapport with the kids and families and be able to have a positive influence in their lives.

What would you consider the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?

The first thing that comes to mind is doing the Rim-to-Rim Grand Canyon Hike all in one day! It was a doozy but I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to challenge myself.

Nominations for Dana:

“Dana is always down for a hike and I hear stories about the many adventures and concerts she goes to. She most recently hiked The Grand Canyon and that’s amazing! She has done so many things on my bucket list and I am grateful for her positive and adventurous energy! She also comes up with new activities for her kiddos in the clinic.”

Dana is always up for something new, fun, or adventurous. I always see her on the hikes, outings, volunteering, and most recently the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim! She’s always in and you can guarantee it’ll be fun if Dana is there!”

She just always seems to be traveling and exploring. I love seeing all her pictures on social media.”

Dana is always up for anything – from taking new classes as a therapist to hiking the Grand Canyon!”

Dana is always up to something adventurous. She seems eager to try new things and even did the rim-to-rim hike. She gets my vote for being adventurous!”
