Interview with Haley
Tell us about yourself
I’ve been an OT for 8 years and started at TEAM 4 Kids as an OT student! I was born and raised in Phoenix and love to travel; some of my favorite travel experiences have been visiting Edinburgh, the Cliffs of Moher, Giant’s Causeway, Chichen Itza, and the Napali Coast. I’m also an avid reader and am always happy to discuss books!
Why did you become an Occupational Therapist?
I learned about OT when I was working as a respite and habilitation provider for three kids while getting my bachelor’s degree. I had previously tried nursing school and was briefly in a teaching program, and neither were right for me. Fortunately, I realized that OT was a blend of what I liked best from nursing and teaching! It ended up being a great fit.
Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for being diligent?
I was so pleasantly surprised to receive this nomination! It was incredibly heartwarming and validating to hear and means so much to me! I always strive to work hard and do my best to help others so I think that is why I was nominated. It truly made my day to hear the news, thank you all so much! 🙂
What do you love most about working with TEAM 4 Kids?
I love the people I’m surrounded by at TEAM 4 Kids! It’s such an uplifting environment filled with genuinely kind and compassionate individuals. I always feel very supported by everyone around me. I’m extremely grateful to work alongside such an amazing group of people!
If you could have one wish come true, what would it be?
For dogs to live longer!
