Interview with Jazmine

Tell us about yourself

I’m from a little town (population of 1000) in Wisconsin and moved here about a year and a half ago. I closed my eyes and pointed at the map and ended up here! I love the warm weather, and the fact I don’t have to scrape my windshield off in the winter.

Why did you become a Registered Behavior Technician?

I originally thought I was applying for a different job title at T4K and had never even heard of ABA until I had my first day, and I immediately fell in love with the field and the concept of ABA. My mom also has an adult day service and that made me want to work harder as an RBT to get these kiddos as independent as possible for their future!

Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for being Kind?

I think my coworkers nominated me because this summer was not so kind to me. I like to show kindness even on bad days, and I had a lot of bad days this summer, where I was still kind.

What do you love most about working with TEAM 4 Kids?

The thing I love about working at TEAM 4 Kids is the people that I work with. Everyone is so helpful and nice and my favorite part is they make work feel fun! Also, working in ABA – the rush you get when your kiddo is knocking out goals left and right is another perk of working here.

If you could recommend 1 method for spreading kindness, what would it be?

My one recommendation for spreading kindness is: “Even on a bad day, be kind”. You don’t know what’s going on in someone’s life outside of work.

“Jazzy is sweet to everyone that walks in. She is always friendly and puts a smile on everyone’s face. 🙂 I love seeing her in Peoria every day!”

“She is more than willing to offer kind words and support when needed. Every day is a good day with Jaz.”

“She always has a positive and kind attitude. She would give you the shirt off her back to help!”
