Interview with Kandyse
Tell us about yourself
I’m originally from Indiana and moved to Arizona five years ago to pursue my dream of living near the mountains and having adventure right outside my door. When I’m not at work, you can usually find me outdoors, reading a good book, traveling, or spending time with my dog. I love pushing myself to try new things and am always looking for my next adventure.
Why did you become an Occupational Therapist?
I became an Occupational Therapist because I was drawn to the opportunity to help people of all abilities overcome challenges and improve their quality of life. I love that OT allows us to support physical, emotional, and psychological well-being while helping clients achieve meaningful goals. Being able to witness those breakthrough moments and celebrate successes with families is one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for being Adaptive and Innovative?
I think my coworkers nominated me because I enjoy thinking creatively and finding new ways to help clients succeed. I’m always willing to adapt when challenges arise, collaborate with my team, and try different approaches to meet each child’s unique needs. I love brainstorming ideas and finding fun, engaging ways to help our clients reach their goals.
What do you love most about working with TEAM 4 Kids?
What I love most about TEAM 4 Kids is the people. This company has provided me with more opportunities for growth than I ever imagined and helped make my transition to Arizona such a positive experience. My coworkers have become some of my closest friends, and I appreciate how supportive, encouraging, and fun everyone is. I love working in an environment where I can continue learning, be creative, and help children thrive every day.
If you could have one wish come true, what would it be?
I wish I could teleport anywhere instantly so I could check off everything on my bucket list. No more traffic, airports, or long travel days, just adventure at the push of a button.
