Interview with Liz
Tell us about yourself:
I’m Liz! I’m a mama of 1 and a baby on the way! I have a degree in special education but found my real passion was in administration! I love reading and going to the aquarium with my toddler and as any pregnant woman can probably attest, I am in love with cleaning and organizing currently.
Why did you become an HR Lead?
I have been working in pediatric therapy for 8 years now. I have literally started at the bottom and worked my way up. As our company grows with amazing families and therapists the need for a dedicated HR person become available and was offered to me. I love helping our employees feel valuable and needed and help them maintain their employment so our kids can find consistency in their treatments!
Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for having integrity?
My dad has always said my whole life, “all you have is your name.” And I have always prided myself on that when working. I want people, whether our employees or our families, to know when they hear my name that I will always do what is right for our company vs. what is right for me. If I say I will do something or find an answer I am always determined to stick it out till the end. In my brain integrity is the most important leadership skill you can possess.
What do you love most about working for TEAM 4 Kids?
What I love the most about working for Team 4 Kids is the family dynamic that they always promote! We are always a family and we celebrate like a family and hangout like a family. Bob and Lisa treat us so well and make sure we know that family comes first, always.
If you had one wish, what would it be?
If I had one wish I would wish to live in a different country with my family for just 1 year so we could experience a different culture and have that experience. We talk about Norway or Switzerland from time to time!
