Interview with Liz
Tell us about yourself
I’m Liz! I’m a mom of 2, a boy and a girl! They are so fun and the absolute best!!! When I’m not parenting I love to read books, build Legos, go hiking, play volleyball, and try new restaurants with my friends! I especially love traveling to new places with my family!
Why did you become the human resources lead?
When I started at TEAM 4 Kids six years ago, we were a tiny company and didn’t have an HR department at all! As we started growing, it became clear we needed an official HR person, so our owners approached me to start and build it. I had no experience in HR or payroll, but I was very willing to research and learn. I think, after putting in the time, they knew I would dedicate a lot of effort and love to developing this department. I have grown my department over the last four years and am very proud of my team!
Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for being festive?
Well, I am a very festive person! I love decorating the office for all holidays, including Christmas in July. I wear a lot of holiday clothing and own Christmas shoes. We start listening to Christmas music as soon as Halloween is over, and I always go big or go home with my Halloween costumes. I just love the holidays and the joy they bring to so many people!
What do you love most about working with TEAM 4 Kids?
I love my coworkers! I have made some of my best friends over the last 6 years! It’s not enough for me to be with them 40 hours a week but will voluntarily vacation with them on the weekends! They are some of the very best people and our owners have really facilitated a great environment that fosters our ability to get to know each other and make those friends!
What is your favorite holiday tradition?
I absolutely love wearing matching pajamas with my family on Christmas Eve and having a revolving door of family and friends coming into my home on Christmas Day!
