Interview With Megan
Tell us a little about yourself:
I started working at TEAM 4 Kids about a year ago when I was hired as their first BCBA with a mission to build the ABA department. I have absolutely loved being part of the TEAM and growing with a multidisciplinary clinic. I received my Master of Science in Human and Family Development and Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from ASU. I am an Arizona native but I have lived in both California and New York for brief periods of time. I am addicted to watching cleaning & decorating videos on YouTube and love decorating. cleaning, and organizing my own home and my friends places as well!
Why did you become a BCBA?
I first learned about ABA when I became a nanny for an amazing family while I was pursuing my bachelors degree at ASU. I worked closely with two siblings with autism for years, collaborating with multiple therapists on their team and learning different techniques to help them with their language development and behaviors. Once I was able to see the positive impact that the therapy was having, I decided to pursue my master’s degree and become a BCBA so that I could help as many families as possible.
Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for having a can-do attitude?
I’m not sure why my co-workers nominated me but I do know have the best co-workers ever! Our department wouldn’t be where it is without them.
What do you love most about working for TEAM 4 Kids?
I love the company culture and the support of my amazing team! I love that TEAM 4 Kids offers so many different therapies under one roof and that all of the therapists on a child’s team can collaborate on a daily basis.
If you had one wish, what would it be?
I would wish that I had the ability to take away people’s pain & suffering.
