Interview with Stephanie
Tell us about yourself
I’ve been at T4K for 3 1/2 years and was previously a student here as well. I’m a huge basketball fan and recently became a season ticket holder for the Phoenix Mercury! I love hanging with friends and family in my free time trying new restaurants, going camping or to a concert.
Why did you become a physical therapy assistant?
I’ve been working in the therapy field since I graduated high school. My dad was injured and required PT so I tagged along to his appointments. I was amazed by the care they provided and was hooked. My first real job was being a tech at his therapy clinic. By chance, I learned about a PTA program in Phoenix, applied and got in!
Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for being Persistent?
I am super stubborn and don’t like to give up, haha. Hence why I still wanted to treat after I tore my Achilles last year. Plus, I don’t want the kids I treat to ever give up when things get tough, so I have to lead by example.
What do you love most about working with TEAM 4 Kids?
I never need to worry about coming to work and not having a friend to talk to. The “TEAM” aspect rings true for me. If I ever need a tip for a tricky kid or just a laugh, I don’t have to look far.
If you could have one wish come true, what would it be?
If I could have 1 wish come true, it would be to win the Mega Millions lottery $$$$

She doesn’t let barriers of any kind stop her from helping others.
