Interview with Taylor
Tell us about yourself
My name is Taylor Trout, and I have been a part of T.E.A.M 4 Kids since August 2021. I currently serve as the OT lead at the Avondale location and also specialize as a feeding therapist. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, I moved to Arizona to pursue my passion for pediatric occupational therapy. Outside of work, I love spending time with my friends and family and exploring everything Arizona has to offer.
Why did you become an occupational therapist?
From a young age, I knew my purpose was to help others—especially children—grow, learn, and thrive. After shadowing a pediatric occupational therapist, I knew this was the perfect career for me. I fell in love with understanding sensory processing and how each child has unique needs to succeed daily. Being an OT allows me to play a meaningful role in their development, and I feel incredibly grateful to be part of their journey.
Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for being genuine?
I am truly honored to be recognized for being genuine! I always strive to be sincere in my words and actions and genuinely love what I do as an occupational therapist.
What do you love most about working with TEAM 4 Kids?
There are so many things I love about working here! Seeing children grow and gain independence in their daily life skills brings me so much joy. Kids have the most incredible way of making everyday fun, and I love the laughter they bring into my life. On top of that, my coworkers are absolutely amazing! I feel lucky to be surrounded by such a supportive and passionate team.
If you could have one wish come true, what would it be?
If I could have one wish come true, it would be for my family and friends to always have happiness, good health, and a life filled with love and laughter.
