Interview With Whitney

Tell us a little about yourself:

I was born and raised here in Glendale and went to Arizona State University for both my undergraduate and graduate school. I have been married to my amazing best friend Josh for almost 2 years. I enjoy hiking, singing, and hanging out with my family. I also love to cook/bake new meals and/or desserts every week. One of my greatest baking accomplishments was when I made a delicious gluten free sourdough bread loaf from scratch.

Why did you become a therapist?

I became a therapist because I love to watch kids grow and learn new skills. I also love the the long-term impact I can have on a family’s life by giving their little kid a voice.

Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for having a can-do attitude?

I think my coworkers nominated me because I don’t say “no” when it comes to brainstorming treatment ideas with other therapists, helping treat other clinician’s kids, working on extra theme or department projects, etc. I am always willing to tackle the next challenge and help others do the same.

What do you love most about working for TEAM 4 Kids?

I love how helpful everyone is at TEAM 4 Kids. I know that I could go to any therapist in any discipline and ask them for advice. Everyone genuinely works as a TEAM and wants to see each other succeed.

If you had one wish, what would it be?

My one wish would be to travel the world and specifically visit each country in Europe.
