Speech Language Pathology Assistant

Basic Information:  Born and raised in the PNW of Washington State, I got my Bachelor of Arts in Speech Therapy from Washington State University in 2018. I decided to take some time off and work in the school district as a paraprofessional for special education until recently. I decided to go back to school and am currently enrolled in a Masters program for speech therapy at Yeshiva University. I love all things travel, especially getting to visit new destinations I have not been to before, but sometimes my bank account prohibits that! I also have three very vocal and loving cats at home named Rocket, Mario, and Lily. I have worked in a variety of settings including clinic, home health, and teletherapy with ages ranging from 3-21 years. I especially enjoy working with the older kids and helping them overcome their obstacles and fears and to grow their confidence when at school.

Interests and Hobbies: I absolutely love to read and can get sucked into a book, not realizing what is going on around me! Fantasy books have been my escape from the world ever since I was little. 

Favorite Place to Travel: I love to travel and was recently able to visit Austria, Switzerland, Germany, and Lichtenstein which looked straight out of a postcard! But I would have to say my favorite place would be Italy!

What I Love Most About Working with Children: I love being able to see the progress a child can make and how happy they are because of it! I love seeing the “ah-ha” moments when working with a child especially when they have been working on a goal for so long and something just finally clicks for them.
