Basic Information: My name is Kaila and I was born and raised in Arizona! I grew up playing competitive volleyball and volunteered as a player partner for Special Olympics in my youth years where I discovered my passion for working with children. I then went on to play collegiate volleyball at Glendale Community College, where I won a National Title! Following that, I transferred to Arizona State University to receive my bachelor’s in Kinesiology. After graduating, I worked as a paraprofessional at a private school for a year and gained further competence. I attended Northern Arizona University at the Phoenix Biomedical Campus and graduated in May 2021 with my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
Interests and Hobbies: I enjoy being active by engaging in activities such as hiking, weightlifting, golfing, pickleball, volleyball, and paddleboarding. During my leisure time, I enjoy reading and socializing with friends and family.
Favorite Place to Travel: As an Arizona native, I love anywhere that has a beach and cool weather!
Favorite Quote: “Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.” -John Wooden
What I Love Most About Working with Children: Everyday working with children is different and unique in its own way. Also, who wouldn’t want to come to work and play all day!
