Kyle Turcott

Occupational Therapist
Basic Information: I was born and raised in Phoenix Arizona and love the desert heat. I attended NAU and received a bachelor’s in public health and a doctorate in occupational therapy. I have worked several jobs throughout my adult life including pizza delivery, theatrical production, martial arts instructor, PE teacher, teaching assistant, and finally occupational therapist. I enjoy teaching and empowering others to improve their lives, and look forward to working with you and your family.
Interests and Hobbies: I have several hobbies and interest (probably too many). I currently teach Kung Fu and Tai Chi to children and adults and have been a practicing martial artist for more than 15 years. I enjoy studying anatomy and physiology and researching how martial arts practices can improve people’s lives. I enjoy playing board games and love to spend time with friends learning new games. I enjoy playing dungeons and dragons with friends and delving into imaginative play with my nieces. I spend most of my downtime hanging out with my family and playing with my dogs Kona and Sadie.
Favorite Place to Travel: I enjoy cooling off in Sedona and Flagstaff.
Favorite Quote: “Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend. ”
What I Love Most About Working with Children: I love child creativity and imagination. Some of the funniest things I have ever heard came from a child’s mouth.
