What is Let’s Get Physical?

Let’s Get Physical is the perfect class for your tween to teen that needs a boost with their general conditioning, higher coordination tasks, strength and endurance. Each class works to improve coordination skills including crossing midline, bilateral coordination (coordinating both sides of the body at the same time) and dynamic balance. Strengthening of core and major muscle groups through functional activities such as squatting, lunging, pulling and pushing is incorporated into each week’s program through high-energy activities and exercises that promote movement. Let’s Get Physical is a great option for your 10-18 year old to get off their electronics, get out of the house, and get MOVING with peers in a therapist led and supervised environment.

Who benefits from Let’s Get Physical?

Let’s Get Physical is perfect for children who have a hard time keeping up with kids their age at school, on the playground or in sports. Appropriate kids may have mild to moderate difficulty performing age appropriate tasks but aren’t so behind that one on one therapy would be necessary. Adolescents with slouched posture, rounded shoulders, a weak core and low energy are perfect for Let’s Get Physical. Those who may appear clumsy, weak, tired with exercise, uncoordinated or simply deconditioned thrive in this action packed class.

What activities do you do in this class?

Each class is therapist designed and led to improve general conditioning through a variety of activities including but not limited to a warm-up, stretching, strength and endurance training, core conditioning, coordination activities, yoga, track drills and fun games to keep everyone engaged and motivated.

Let’s Get Physical is offered :

  • Surprise location on Thursdays at 5:00 pm.
