Kids 30-day Exercise Challenge, 30 Minutes a Day

by | Jun 29, 2020 | Physical Therapy

Consistent Exercise has so many benefits for your little ones of all ages. It is recommended that kids of all ages get at least 30 minutes of exercise a day, while kids ages 6 and older could get up to an hour a day. It is important to make exercise fun for kids so the task does not lead to boredom and will keep them intrigued for at least 30 minutes. Some benefits of physical activity in kids include an improvement in cardiovascular health, promote healthy growth and development, improve coordination and strength, assist in the development of fine and gross motor skills, improves concentration and thinking skills, and decrease risk of type II diabetes.  There are so many ways to incorporate physical activity in a child’s everyday routine, but below is a chart listed for this 30-day challenge!

If you feel like your child may have a delay in their gross motor skills please contact our office for a physical therapy evaluation or free screening today!
