Interview with Megan

Tell us about yourself

My name is Megan. I’m 35 years old, a military wife, and a mama of 2. I love to read, go antiquing, and spend time with my family.

Why did you become a Billing Specialist?

I started with TEAM 4 Kids as an RBT, but as I was getting married, military life was pulling me to another state. I knew I wasn’t ready to leave this company or the ABA world behind. So, I had a courageous conversation with our owner, Bob, about my future, my potential for growth, and my heart for continuing to make a difference in ABA. That conversation opened the door for me to start training in billing, and I found a new way to continue doing what I love. I may not be working directly with the kiddos anymore, but I still get to help them find their voice—just in a different capacity.

Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for being empathetic?

I believe my coworkers nominated me as empathetic because I’m very transparent about who I am and the struggles I face. I think that openness helps others feel comfortable being themselves and confiding in me when they’re going through something. I’ve always wanted the people around me to know they can come to me without judgment, because no one should ever feel like they have to carry the hard things alone. 💙

What do you love most about working with TEAM 4 Kids?

I love working at Team 4 Kids because not only do I get to work alongside some pretty amazing people who have become friends, but it’s also a company that truly pours into you as an employee and gives you so many opportunities to learn and grow. At the heart of it all, we get the chance to make a difference in the lives of our youth and help make their lives a little more fruitful. It really is an all-around blessing—for the kiddos, their families, and those of us lucky enough to be part of it.

If you could have one wish come true, what would it be?

If I had one wish, I would wish to have one more cup of coffee with my Dad, just to tell him one more time how I really couldn’t have done this life without him.❤️‍🩹 One more thank you, and I love you.
