Interview with Ashley
Tell us about yourself
I’m a physical therapist here at TEAM4Kids since July 2020. I had recently graduated from Midwestern University and have always had a passion with working with kids!
Why did you become a Physical Therapist?
I have always had a passion for physical activity. Physical therapy was the best way for me to help others move! I knew I wanted to be one since I was in 8th grade after watching a video of a little girl learning how to walk with her new prosthetic leg.
Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for having ambition?
I think it’s because I have taken on several groups since starting at TEAM4Kids and my willingness to get multiple different ideas for treatment sessions!
What do you love most about working with TEAM 4 Kids?
I love the support I get from my PT team and all my other co workers! I ask them all of the questions to get other perspectives so my kiddos can have the best treatments.
If you had one wish, what would it be?
It would be to be able to travel to all the different national parks in the US, and around the world!
Nominations for Ashley:
“Ashley always goes above and beyond! She is always coming up with new ideas for the PT groups and truly wants her clients to succeed. She is a hard worker and I see that every time she is working with a client.”
“She is always willing to work extra hours and help out her co-workers.”
“She is always going above and beyond to plan treatment for each child, and will never give up when it is challenging. She will do research and ask others for help! I hope that I can be a great PT like her!”
“I feel that Ashley has been a kind and prodigious Physical Therapist at T4K. Since the first day of working here, she has embodied the qualities of an ambitious person. Always striving to provide the highest level of care for the families and children she treats. In her own team and department her ambition has inspired others to strive for more and focus on solutions not problems. Ashley’s ambition for her work and her fellow therapist is filled with humility and respect and only motivates everyone around her. When your personal strengths serve to help others around you, it creates a more cohesive and positive work environment. “
