Interview with Kayla
Tell us about yourself
Hi, I am Kayla and I am originally from Michigan but have been living in Arizona for the last 5 years! I went to Western Michigan University for my undergraduate and graduate degree. In my free time, I spend time with my husband and our sweet little boy, Everson, who is currently 17 months old. We also have two dogs (one golden retriever and one jack russell/chihuahua), who run around with Everson and keep us very busy!
Why did you become an Occupational Therapist?
I actually learned about OT when I was in high school at the tech school I was enrolled in my junior year. I was originally set to learn about teaching as I thought I wanted to become a special education teacher. However, I soon met an OT and changed my career path at the tech school as I fell in love with every aspect of OT.
Why do you think your coworkers nominated you for being Selfless?
I feel like my coworkers nominated me for being selfless as I truly try to put others before myself. I do my best to check in with my teammates throughout the day and make sure that if there is anything I can do to make their day or job easier I will strive to do just that!
What do you love most about working with TEAM 4 Kids?
TEAM 4 Kids is one of the most incredible companies to work for! The atmosphere is so fun and there is never a day that I am not laughing. My coworkers truly make each and every day so great. Everyone cares about your well-being and will try to help you if you ever need anything!
If you could have 1 wish come true, what would it be?
If I could have 1 wish come true it would be to have another home in Arizona that my parents could live in so they would be able to spend more time with their grandchild.
