What Are Theratogs?

by | Mar 23, 2016 | Early intervention | 0 comments

Theratogs are orthotic undergarments with a special strapping system that will provide children with sensorimotor impairment stability. It is a new modality for improving postural alignment, stability, movement precision, and join stability. Theratogs also serve as a “body training underwear” that is customized from a licensed clinician for the child’s specific needs. Theratogs can be used for kids and adults as well.

Theratogs can benefit the child in many ways such as to address bone and joint development issues, to improve a child’s body awareness and postural stability, to use for neural plasticity and neuromotor relearning and to improve a child’s motor performance.

Children with a diagnosis of Hypotonia, Spina Bifida, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, In Toeing, Out Toeing, postural problems and developmental delays will benefit from Theratogs.
